10 Best Healthy Restaurants in Cascais
Looking for healthy food in Cascais? Not just restaurants with one salad hidden somewhere on the menu, but places where fresh ingredients, vegetables, good proteins and healthier choices are genuinely part of the concept.
It still feels a little strange for me to write this article🫣. For many years, I was exactly the kind of person who avoided this sort of food. Today, it has become a very important part of the way I eat — and I honestly feel stronger and healthier than ever because of it.
Here are 10 of my favourites, starting in central Cascais and gradually moving along the coast.
1. House of Wonders
📍 Largo da Misericórdia 53, Cascais
€15–25 | Order: the mezze selection
Colourful, vegetarian and very Cascais. Lots of vegetables, Mediterranean flavours and vegan options — plus a great rooftop.
2. Nicolau Cascais
📍 Rua Freitas Reis 26A, Cascais
€15–25 | Order: açaí bowl, salad or chickpea-based dishes
One of Cascais’ best-known brunch spots. Not everything is healthy, but there are plenty of good choices if you order carefully.
3. Honest Greens
📍 Largo da Estação 40, Cascais
€15–25 | Order: protein + vegetables + seasonal sides
Probably the safest answer when someone asks me for healthy food in Cascais. Fresh, colourful and very easy to build a genuinely healthy meal.
4. Euphoria Coffee & Brunch
📍 Rua Afonso Sanches 12, Cascais
€12–20 | Order: a lighter brunch bowl + speciality coffee
A relaxed coffee and brunch spot close to the centre. Good for breakfast, a light lunch or a post-workout stop.
5. LOCAL – Your Healthy Kitchen
📍 Mercado da Vila, Cascais
€15–25 | Order: poke, fish or one of the seasonal bowls
LOCAL has been doing healthy food properly for years: seasonal ingredients, vegetables, fish, poultry and plenty of vegan and gluten-free options.
6. B-Life Kitchen
📍 Marina de Cascais, Cascais
€15–25 | Order: one of the seasonal dishes built around vegetables and clean proteins
One of the most interesting recent additions to Cascais. Local, organic and seasonal food, with a real focus on nutrition and longevity. I personally really like it.
7. HOW – Intelligent Food
📍 Rua do Viveiro 203, Estoril
€15–20 | Order: Buddha Bowl or Shakshuka
Small, relaxed and genuinely focused on healthy food. One of the less obvious places on this list — which is exactly why I like it.
8. SEN Estoril
📍 Avenida Marginal, Estoril
€20–30 | Order: Vietnamese rolls or a vermicelli-based dish
Vietnamese rather than explicitly “healthy”, but naturally good for lighter eating: herbs, vegetables, seafood, rice noodles and lots of flavour.
9. Fauna & Flora
📍 Rua Sacadura Cabral 24A, São Pedro do Estoril
€15–25 | Order: a bowl, smoothie or one of the lighter brunch dishes
One of the best-looking healthy brunch spots along the coast. Lots of plants, sea views, colourful dishes and plenty of vegetarian and vegan choices.
10. Peculiar
📍 Rua de Braga 57A, Carcavelos
Around €19 | Order: fish, vegetables or one of the vegetarian dishes
A useful reminder that healthy eating doesn’t have to mean bowls and avocado toast. More of a conventional restaurant, but with plenty of fresh and lighter choices.
My personal shortlist
If I had to choose just four for genuinely healthy eating: Honest Greens, LOCAL, B-Life Kitchen and HOW.
And remember: even in a healthy restaurant, what you order still matters.
