Gabbro: Miguel Laffan Opens an Italian Osteria on the Guincho Road

There’s a new restaurant on the famous road between Cascais and Guincho. Chef Miguel Laffan, who previously held a Michelin star during his career, has opened Gabbro, a new project focused on Italian osteria-style cuisine.

The restaurant opened in soft opening in March and aims to be relaxed and informal, with fresh pasta, simple recipes and generous plates, inspired by traditional Italian osterias.

What makes it interesting is the contrast with the location. The Guincho road is known for its many seafood restaurants, so an Italian concept brings something different to this Atlantic stretch.

In short: a place for good pasta, good wine and long lunches after the beach or a sunset drive along the coast.
